Leisurecorp’s Partnership with The European Tour also Includes the Upgrade and Development of World-Class Player Facilities
As a result of the growing partnership between Leisurecorp and The European Tour, a number of world-class facilities are under development for European Tour Members at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai. These include the custom-built, state-of-the-art European Tour Performance Institute, The European Tour International Headquarters and a second upgrade to The Race to Dubai Physio Unit, which will add an enhanced team of personnel, increased tournament working hours and a wide range of improved services and equipment for the 2009 season.
The European Tour Performance Institute
The European Tour Performance Institute is an ultra-modern, custom-built training facility located on the practice fairway that serves both the Fire and Earth courses at Jumeirah Golf Estates. Exclusively for use by The European Tour Members, this innovative complex will be outfitted with state-of-the-art amenities, including a fully-equipped fitness centre; bio-mechanic swing studios with interactive high-performance video technology (utilising fast-motion video capture); a putting lab; dedicated short-game holes; expansive practice fairways and teeing areas; bunker practice greens; a large contoured putting green; physiotherapy treatment rooms; and a player sanctuary area with a player concierge, plunge pool, and steam and sauna rooms.
The European Tour International Headquarters
As part of the partnership with Leisurecorp, The European Tour’s International Headquarters will be located at Jumeirah Golf Estates. This will enable European Tour executives and officials to operate throughout the entire season from a custom-built facility in Dubai, fully-equipped with state-of-the-art amenities.
Located in a strategically positioned hub of the world, this headquarters will strengthen The European Tour’s capabilities in managing an ever-growing number of global tournaments in places throughout Asia, India and Australia.
