Thousands Gather for the Greatest Show on Earth

Spectators have turned out in their thousands to watch round two of the Dubai World Championship presented by DP World today – and with just five shots covering the top 16 players it is turning out to be a battle royal at the Earth course, Jumeirah Golf Estates.
Scotland’s Paul Lawrie got off to a flying start with back-to-back birdies to edge ahead of overnight leader Peter Hanson, while the pick of the two balls – World Number Two Rory McIlroy and charismatic Spaniard Sergio Garcis – has pulled in a massive gallery of specators who are taking advantage of the benign weather conditions and complimentary entrance.
England’s Paul Casey is a big mover storming into the top three thanks to five birdies and an eagle on his first fourteen holes, while World Number One Luke Donald continues to find birdies elusive and remains outside the twenty.
