Louis Oosthuizen admitted he is still getting to grips with the stunning new Earth course at Jumeirah Golf Estates despite climbing the leaderboard on day two of the Dubai World Championship presented by: DP World.
The South African enjoyed his impressive second round 66 to be 7-under at the half way stage, but still feels Greg Norman has created a tough challenge for the grand finale to The Race to Dubai.
“It was good. It started getting windy during the end, the last four or five holes was quite windy. But yeah, it’s a tough golf course,” he said.
“On the greens, you’ve got to get yourself in the right spots. We had a lot of fun.”
Although Oosthuizen found the lengthy 7,675 yard course a grueling test, he feels scores will improve as the week progresses.
“It just feels forever when you play it, because it’s so hot and it’s a pretty tough walk. But I mean, I think the more you play it, the better scores you’re going to produce.”
