Padraig Harrington says he will give it everything to stay in contention on the final day of the Dubai World Championship after he shot a third round 69 to sit 10-under par.
The Irishman says he will need it to go all his way in the final round if he is to hunt down Lee Westwood, who leads the field at 15-under.
“I’m in a position tomorrow where it’s just going to have to go right for me,” Harrington said.
“I’m that far behind that I’ll go out there and see what happens.”
Harrington says he could not have played any better today and will keep the same aggressive approach in the final round of the showpiece tournament which brings an end to The Race to Dubai 2009.
“I couldn’t have played any better golf than I did today,” he said. I created lots of chances and really didn’t put myself in much trouble. So I’ll be happy if I do that tomorrow and just see if I hole putts.”
He added:
“I’m going to go very aggressive but no more so than today. I was trying to be aggressive all day today, bar my second shot on 16. I was going at all the pins and I’ll do the same tomorrow.”
